I am very excited to present our first project, The Athlete's Recovery Workshop!
The Athlete's Recovery Workshop mission is to help and support you on your journey of pain relief and overall wellness. We want to help empower you to change your lifestyle, in order to become healthy in mind, body, and spirit, so that you can be active and pain-free.
I created Back2Basketball because I wanted to help people.
After years of battling back-pain, I eventually hurt my back so badly that my right leg became paralyzed.
I could no longer do the things I loved, like play basketball or even something simple, like relaxing and watching a movie. Instead, I spent my days trying to ease my back pain. I was depressed, had low energy and was scared that this is how the rest of my life would be.
I searched for help in the medical system; however, nothing seemed to work. It wasn't until I took accountability for myself and changed my mindset and lifestyle that I started to see a reduction in my back pain. Eventually, I rebuilt my body and mind and returned to playing basketball and being active again.
Back2Basketball's mission is to transform the lives of past and present basketball players who struggle with back pain by focusing on personal storytelling and community building. Our hope is to inspire a change in mindset, as well as a shift in the lifestyle and daily habits of basketball players. We wish to transform and effectively alter the lives of people who have been suffering from chronic, debilitating back pain. By changing their perspective on their bodies and its abilities through empowerment, accountability, and consistency, we hope to help you completely turn your life around.
Back2Basketball envisions a future where basketball players are empowered to take ownership of their daily habits and lifestyle choices that will lead to long-lasting positive outcomes.
